Your Account PIN and Security Question AnswerClose

To enhance account protection, Sprint requires you to secure your account with a 6- to 10-digit personal identification number (PIN).

You'll need your PIN or the answer to your security question to access your account online, or when calling Customer Service for assistance. This will better ensure that no one else can access your account without your authorization.

Tips for creating a secure PIN:
Choose a 6- to 10-digit number you can easily recall, but make sure it's not easy for someone else to guess. Avoid using parts of your phone number or a birth date for example.

For your protection, you can't create a PIN that contains:

Best phone ever! Makes my Note I seem inferior.

Posted by Khemistry84 from College Park, MD on 11/17/2012

I had the original Samsung Galaxy Note on AT&T in ceramic white, which I also wrote a glowing review about on here. I originally laughed at the phone and balked at its size. Then, it started to make sense to me and appeal to me. Bought it and it was one of the best $300 I had spent in my life. I loved pretty much everything about the phone, but, as with most high end Androids I've owned over the years, there was always that one or two (or three!) things missing or something that it didn't quite measure up to or just something that was a let down. When I say that ALL of the things that were missing on the original Note have been addressed and included in the Note II, I am not kidding! For the first time, ever, I can truthfully say I am almost 100% satisfied with my phone. I'll start off with the two things missing that affected my overall rating: multi-window is not included on any of the U.S. Note IIs (Sprint just got an OTA update to include it) which I feel is false advertising, because Samsung has been heavily promoting this feature, and they have never stated it would only be available on select phones/carriers. Multi-window was a feature I was most looking forward to. The other thing missing is the ability to transfer apps to your external microSD card. AFAIK, the only way you can really do this seamlessly, is by rooting your phone. I download A LOT of apps, so I don't want my entire internal memory filled with apps which can take up a lot of space in no time. Those are my two real gripes. Now, for all the goodies. It's literally too much to mention. I've had this phone for three days, now, and I'm still reading things about the features and discovering new goodies. The newest are two things I have always dreamed about on a device... there is a "Quick Glance" feature that I am surprised Samsung hasn't touted. Quick Glance has to be enabled in your settings, and essentially it uses the phones motion sensor to activate and turn-on your screen when you hover your hand over the top of the phone. Why is this needed or important? Because it will show you a "quick glance" of essentials such as a very large clock/weather display, it will show you your notifications toolbar, and it will show you three icons showing missed calls, emails, and text messages. You can choose which of all of these features you want displayed. It's only displayed for a few seconds and then the screen turns off, again. When the screen turns on, there is this beautiful but subtle light animation that occurs in the background. It's really convenient, particularly at night when you may want to check the time and you don't have to worry about grabbing the phone, finding the button to turn the screen on, and then having to turn the screen off afterwards. Everything is hands-free and effortless! Another feature that I've yet to see mentioned in the dozens of reviews I've seen, is "Direct Call." Direct Call is a feature which will automatically dial whatever contacts information is being currently displayed on your screen, as soon as the phone is brought up to your face as if you were talking on the phone. So instead of having to do the old fashioned thing of pulling up a contact on your phone, then trying to find whatever button you have to push to dial the contact, and then put the phone up to your face to talk... you just eliminate the button press and put the phone to your face and the phone will automatically execute the call! FYI, it will call whatever number is set as the 'default' number. If there is no default number and there are multiple numbers listed, it will call the first number on the list. Other things I love about the phone: • Titanium Gray color. I opted for this model over another white Note. I personally felt the ceramic white Note I was more beautiful than the black, but on the Note II, it's reversed. The white looks very cheap while the titanium gray is really unique and has this premium, sophisticated look about it. • The HD Super AMOLED screen. And while it has less ppi than the original Note and it's 720p vs. 800p for the original Note... the screen is by-far BETTER than the Note I, and I agree with many of the professional reviews which have stated it's the best screen Samsung has put on any of their devices. It's so beautiful! • I love the fact the Note II finally has an LED notification light! I don't know how Samsung dropped the ball on that one with the original Note. • The speakerphone on the Note II is worlds better than the Note Is. This was also mentioned a lot in pro reviews, and it lives up to that. Very happy with that. • Jelly Bean 4.1 mixed with the TouchWiz "Nature UX" is beyond words. I mean, for the first time, I can actually say I prefer TouchWiz over HTCs "Sense." TouchWiz on Jelly Bean is very intuitive. There's a lot I'd love to say about it, but it's too intricate to mention in a professional review. You'll have to see for yourself. Also, that "buttery smoothness" that is often associated with Jelly Bean, is not over-exaggerated. This phone FLIES! Start-up time is extremely impressive, as well. It takes about 8-10 seconds for my phone to turn on and be at the home screen. I have never had a phone that fast and it's really impressive for a phone of this caliber. Also, I will just say (and I hope this translates well over a written review) that when you use the S-Pen, the five standard icons in the app tray at the bottom of the Note, intuitively change based on what screen you are on your phone... it sort of takes an educated guess on what apps you may want to access. Like I said, it's hard to explain, but it's really cool and very convenient. • Speaking of the S-Pen... it's worlds better than the one on the original Note. I now have no problems holding the new S-Pen, as I did with the Note I. It feels so much better constructed and solid. The added/enhanced features are clearly noticed. Way too much to go into on the S-Pen, it's something you can read about online or you'll have to experience for yourself. I don't know about others, but the S-Pen is something I've found a lot of use for, so I really appreciate it. • The battery life of the Note II also lives up to all of the hype. Looking at my phone right now, it hasn't been charged for 1 DAY, 3 HOURS, and 40 MINUTES, and I still have 27% battery left! My on-screen time has been 2 HOURS and 40 MINUTES. My highest on-screen time was around 3.5 HOURS and at that point, I was only down to 50% battery! That included watching dozens of videos, performing a lot of downloads, and listening to a ton of music! So assuming I was doing everything the same for the next 50% of the time, I should have easily reached well-over 6 hours of battery life. • Form factor and design. I was skeptical on how I'd feel about the design of this device what I saw it unveiled for the first time. I didn't like that it was slimmer and that it looked more like the S III (which I find totally ugly). But, after having the phone, personally, I can honestly say not only do I think this phone is sexier than the original Note, but it's the sexiest phone I've ever owned! I think it's definitely sexier than the iPhone 5. Losing some width is compensated for by adding some length. I think I prefer that. It's still not a "true" one-handed phone, but it is more manageable with one hand than the original Note was. In terms of portability, as a person who wears skinny jeans (not afraid to admit it!) I have had no issues placing either the Note I or Note II in my pockets. Any claims that say otherwise are grossly exaggerated. The phone is ultra-thin and pretty light for what it's worth. • The camera is tremendously improved over the original Note's. My favorite feature is no-lag between taking photos! I've been dying for a phone that provided this convenience. "Burst Shot" is really amazing and appreciated by someone like me. There's also tons more picture-taking modes than with the original Note. Again, too much to mention about the camera for a review like this. Just know you'll love it! • S Voice is cool but don't have enough time spent with it to write an informed opinion. I'm still more familiar with Google Talk, which has been extremely impressive from my experience. S Voice did a 100% accurate job of displaying detailed weather of my city, when I asked "What's the weather in Anytown?" Obviously I don't live in a town called 'Anytown,' but you get the idea lol. It was even more impressive because the name of my actual city is not common and it's kind of easy for most voice recognizers to get correct. So S Voice really impressed me. There are tons more things I can say about this phone, but it would required about 15,000 more keystrokes. I really doubt anyone who purchases the Note II will have any buyers remorse. The design, hardware specs, software, and everything in-between, is simply first class. I am very happy!

      Best of Both Worlds

Posted by coffeeeeman from New York on 11/18/2012

I've owned the IPhone 4, Galaxy Note 1, and now the galaxy note 2. The size of the phone becomes unnoticed after using it for awhile. The Galaxy note offers the best of a tablet and smart phone combined. The S pen applications are invaluable in note taking and in editing various documents. I have to say this is by far the most powerful phone I've owned.

      Really...Really...Good...

Posted by RAFSafety from Pittsburgh, PA on 1/17/2013

I have never written a review about a product in my life, but the Note II is that good. I am a Safety Manager, and I conduct safety audits that require lots of notes, and lots of picture. With the S-Pen and S-Note Feature, I am able to do both with ease. In fact, I can take notes directly on the pictures that I take. These features save me at least 15-20 minutes on 1 hour of work. When I first got the phone I was a little intimidated by all the features at first, and I thought the overall size (especially with the Otterbox case) was a little obnoxious. Despite all the apprehension at first, I have grown used to the size, and I have learned that the size is what is helping me increase my productivity. The S-Pen feels like an ordinary pen, and writes similarly as well. I have never been the type of person that likes to text, I was a slow texter, and I just kind of gave up on texting. With the Note II you can actually write emails and texts with the S-Pen, and the phone converts it to typed text. Overall, this "phablet" has changed the way I work, and changed the way I look at cell phones in general.

      Great all around device

Posted by Stills2004 from Caldwell ID on 1/20/2013

Have been a long time iPhone user thought I would go ahead and try this phone there were a couple of things I didn't like calander integration it's not as seem less as apples nor is photo uploads. The size once you use it isn't a problem one handed operation is easy call volume much better than iPhone. Due to my two dislikes which really now that I think about we're trivial I switched back to a iPhone and really regret it its nowhere near the device that the galaxy note 2 is all I can say is I wish I had my note 2 back.

      Best phone ever!

      Posted by techyguy4u on 1/29/2013

I have had the Iphone since it came out years ago. The Iphone was the same year after year with no really big difference in how the phone operated. I heard all the hype about this phone and started doing research on this phone. This phone is amazing! Operates fast and can be used for lots of multi tasking by splitting the screen in half. Very happy with this phone.
